BRANCH IN HISTORIC CAIRO
Since 2005, G&W is present in the medieval city of Cairo. The 64 square meters residence is located in a 19th century house in the historic district of al-Darb al-Ahmar, at 4 Abou Hariba street. G&W seat in Historic Cairo offers a suitable place for small-scale seminars, workshops and exhibitions in an authentic environment.

It possesses a view on the hills of Al-Azhar Park, on the façade of the Mamluk mosque of al-Amir Aslam al-Silhadar, as well as on ruins of a 19th century unlisted palace. From the west, the place can be reached through Bab Zuwayla, the southern city gate of Fatimid Cairo, passing by the mosque of Qijmas al-Ishaqi, also known as Abou Hariba (5 minutes walking distance). From the east, it is only a few meters away from the Historic Ayyubid Wall and one of its gates, Bab al-Mahruq, which leads to the present Al-Azhar Park. |

The area surrounding G&W branch in al-Darb al-Amar is undergoing major changes, as there is a long term plan, conducted by an initiative of the Agha Khan Trust for Culture to revitalize the area of al-Darb al-Amar physically, socially and economically. |
